What I Treat
01
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Edward is a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Therapist (DBTC), trained in the gold-standard approach for treating emotional dysregulation, self-injury, and borderline personality disorder. DBT teaches practical skills across four modules to help clients build a life worth living.
Treatment includes:
02
Clinical Hypnotherapy
As a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (NBCCH), Edward uses evidence-based hypnotic techniques to access the subconscious mind, address root causes of distress, and reinforce lasting behavioral change. Clinical hypnotherapy is distinct from stage hypnosis and is a recognized therapeutic modality.
Treatment includes:
03
Trauma-Informed Care
Edward applies a trauma-informed lens across all of his clinical work, recognizing how adverse experiences shape the nervous system, identity, and relationships. Treatment is paced, client-led, and grounded in safety and stabilization before deeper processing.
Treatment includes:
04
Anxiety & Mood Disorders
Edward works with a wide range of anxiety presentations — from generalized anxiety and panic disorder to social anxiety and OCD spectrum concerns — as well as mood disorders including depression and bipolar spectrum conditions. Treatment is individualized and evidence-based.
Treatment includes:
05
Borderline Personality Disorder & Self-Injury
DBT was originally developed for individuals with BPD and chronic self-injury, and it remains the most evidence-based treatment for these presentations. Edward provides both individual DBT therapy and group-based skills training for clients working through BPD and self-harm behaviors.
Treatment includes:
06
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care
Edward provides affirming, culturally competent care for LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating identity, coming out, family dynamics, discrimination, and the intersection of queerness with mental health. His practice is a safe and welcoming space for all identities and orientations.
